Watch: Bryce Harper explodes on umpire Angel Hernandez, tosses helmet into crowd after ejection

Philadelphia Phillies star slugger Bryce Harper literally flipped his lid after being ejected from Thursday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Harper got the boot after arguing a blown check-swing call by everyone's favorite umpire, Angel Hernandez.

After holding up on a 3-2 pitch, Harper, who thought he'd draw a walk, headed to first base before realizing Hernandez had rung him up from third. After exchanging words with Hernandez, an incensed Harper tossed his helmet into the stands before walking into the dugout.

Harper had a legit beef, as replays showed he didn't come close to swinging on the pitch. Umpires and referees alike are better when they're largely anonymous. However, in Hernandez's case, he's well-known for situations like Thursdays, which are becoming all too commonplace, especially for someone who has umpired MLB games for more than three decades.
