Victor Wembanyama continues to earn praise from some of the NBA's biggest names. Devin Booker is the latest player to share his thoughts on the San Antonio Spurs' future superstar.
“Just a force. I think my favorite part about him is his mindset,” Booker said following the Suns 131-106 win over the Spurs on Saturday. “Nowhere near soft. He's a competitor to the highest. You can tell after games that losing bothers him, and it’s not something he's gotten used to. I've watched all his mannerisms and watch how he carries himself, and he seems like a seasoned vet.”
"It's always a plus, especially at this point in the season to get our rest and more importantly, play the right way to put us in that situation."

The gifted rookie has been impressive throughout his first season in the league. He's averaging a double-double in points (20.7) and rebounds (10.4) over 63 games. He's shooting 46.6% from the field and 32.1% from three-point range. There's every reason to be excited about Wembanyama's potential in the league as he continues to improve and add muscle.
Booker isn't the only player to have praised Wembanyama. Damian Lillard recently sang the rookie's praises during an appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show." And Draymond Green shared his belief that Wembanyama is already a top-20 player in the NBA during an episode of his self-titled podcast.
"Victor Wembanyama is probably a top-20 player in the NBA right now,” Green said. “With that skill set, with that length, with that jump shot, his jump shot is absolutely beautiful. In San Antonio with that staff, that kid, watch out."

All of Wembanyama's praise is warranted. He's handled the intense media pressure like a seasoned professional. He's also navigated his first season in the league with a humbleness that hasn't gone unnoticed by fans.
Wembayana has all the skills necessary to be the next major star in the NBA. If he can continue developing and avoid injury, it won't be long until he proves Booker and the other stars are singing his praises right.
